As a specialized community-based harm reduction & low barrier support network promoting collaborative partnerships, our developmental disabilities services focus on supporting individuals 19 years and older who live with developmental disabilities and other special needs work towards their goals in all areas of daily living.

Home-based Supports
We offer one-on-one support to the individual who lives with family-caregiver from a home life perspective. We offer this service for individuals who require ongoing support to participate in their communities.
This service uses as center of operations the individual’s home. We develop in partnership with the individual and family-caregiver a schedule that optimizes the individual’s lifestyle. This service may have vocational, social, leisure and/or recreational focus.
Community-based Supports
We offer one-on-one support to the individual who lives with family-caregiver from a community access perspective. We offer this service for individuals who require ongoing support to participate in their communities.
This service uses as center of operations the individual’s community. We develop in partnership with the individual and family-caregiver a schedule that optimizes the individual’s lifestyle. This service may have vocational, social, leisure and/or recreational focus.
Supported Living Outreach
We offer one-on-one support to the individual living independently in the community. This service uses as center of operations the individual’s home or community. We develop in partnership with the individual a schedule that optimizes the individual’s lifestyle. This service may have home support, daily living, vocational, social, leisure and/or recreational focus.
Skill Development Supports
We offer one-on-one or group support to the individual from a home or community based perspective. The service focuses on supporting individuals to develop skills that are required for independent living. We develop in partnership with the individual and family-caregiver an action plan that identifies the purposeful acquisition or enhancement of specific skills and their corresponding measurable goals. This service is goal oriented.
Home Share Supports
At Osanis, we are pleased to collaborate closely with individuals and their families to help find appropriate homes that suit their needs. We appreciate that these individuals and their loving helpers play a very important role in the process of selecting and approving the home share provider. Osanis provides knowledgeable one-on-one support to help the individual find the most suitable home.
Becoming a Home Share Provider
Being a home share provider is a highly rewarding lifestyle. Additionally, it can be a financially beneficial endeavour that creates many opportunities to build long-lasting and meaningful relationships. Our home share services are always looking for qualified individuals interested in providing these special experiences and services. We invite you to apply. Host Agency
We offer support to help the individual and/or family-caregiver create and manage the types of support they require based on their individual needs. We are able to the take the pressure away from the family that comes from running a “service”. Because of our Host Agency Status, we are able to help the individual and family-caregiver with all “employer and administrator” related issues concerning their funded service.
Support Coordination
We offer one-on-one support to the individual and/or family-caregiver with specific needs identified by the individual and/or caregiver. Common identified needs for support include scheduling, location of appropriate resources and services, access to education and training, and advocacy.
Free Consultation
We offer an initial one-hour free consultation session for the purpose of discussing your issues of concern and/or goals. This time provides you an opportunity to confirm that we are the right service for you.
Approved Service Provider for Publicly Funded Services
We are an approved service provider with the Community Living British Columbia (CLBC). Adults who live with Developmental Disabilities, as well as their families, caregivers and support staff, who may be interested in receiving CLBC funded services from Osanis are encouraged to contact CLBC.
