Parents are fighting for their children’s lives within a mental health system steeped in stigma. They are scared, isolated, and exhausted, caught in a cycle of navigating a fragmented system that fails to meet their needs.
Their plea is clear: accessible, comprehensive care with long-term support.
In our first session, we heard powerful stories and introduced a framework for change. Now, we’re building on that foundation with a solutions-focused process that brings families, community leaders, and policymakers into honest dialogue.
This next phase is about turning ideas into action—working together to improve access to mental health services in BC. Ahead of the session, we’ll share guiding questions to help participants reflect on system barriers and potential policy or practice changes.
Together, let’s open the door to support families, inform policy, and build a future where every child can thrive.
