SUMMARY:Therapeutic Photography Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with MHRP SI and supported by the CRD IDEAS grant\, join Rachel for 4 weeks of therapeutic photography. \nCome out and meet like-minded people\, have fun and learn the basics of photography skills like the rule of thirds and composition using your smartphone or camera! \nThe first meeting with be held at the MHRP SI Boardroom (941 Kings Rd) Tuesday\, Sept 24th 1-3pm\, followed by 2 community outings to spark creativity and capture scenes in some of our cities most beautiful spots. \nOn the last meeting\, we will return to the MHRP SI Boardroom to share and celebrate the photographs taken throughout our journey together. \nPlease bring with you a smart phone or camera – final prints will be provided by Social Gathering Place. \nTo register\, please email hello@socialgatheringplace.ca

What It Looks Like at Ages 4 – 8 \nWhy can it feel so tricky to tell if our kids are on track\, going through a phase\, as opposed to struggling with something more\, or beyond behaviours? Listen to a parent and counsellor talk about the developmental stages of 4 to 8 year old children. \nVictoria Keddis hosts a conversation with Karen Peters\, a Registered Clinical Counsellor. \nCome together and watch a video presentation and stay for a facilitated conversation by our Family Peer Support Workers. \n6:30pm – 8:00pm Pacific Daylight Time (British Columbia)\n7:30pm – 9:00pm Mountain Standard Time (Alberta) \nThese events are funded for parents and caregivers living in the Province of British Columbia and for CASA families in Alberta.
