SUMMARY:Recovery Day Victoria 2024
DESCRIPTION:In honor of Recovery Month (September)\, Umbrella Society\, @New Roads Therapeutic Recovery Community (Our Place Society)\, and our funders (Victoria Community Action Team\, Island Health\, BC Government) will partner to deliver a new\, re-energized\, and refreshed celebration of recovery for individuals\, families\, friends\, and communities affected by substance use disorders and other addictions.\n\nRDV’24 is a free\, family friendly\, and inclusive\, alcohol/substance free\, single day annual event for anyone to attend who has an interest in celebrating recovery\, honoring those who have recovered\, and giving hope to those seeking sustainable recovery from active addiction.\n\nEvent elements will include (but may not be limited to) music\, comedy\, and other entertainment on the main stage; food trucks\, artisans marketspace\, a resource providers marketspace\, 4-on-4 street hockey tournament\, a kids stage and “Family Fun Land” inflatable fun park for kids\, parents\, and adults. There will also be crafting and therapeutic arts workshops\, face painting\, and more.\n\nMain Event runs from Noon until 7pmStreet Hockey Tournament runs from 9am until 5pm
