DESCRIPTION:Caring for little ones with extra support needs is marked by joy\, fear\, and overwhelm\, usually all in the same day! Navigating the toddler and preschool years or if the school years are on the horizon\, can be a uniquely challenging time. Join Cari Rawling\, (ECE/parent)\, and Heather Beach (parent)\, for supportive sessions on Navigating the Early Years. We are here to listen\, provide resources\, and create a safe place to discuss the parenting experience of young children with diverse abilities. \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\nFamily Support Institute of BC (FSI) is a provincial not-for-profit society committed to supporting families who have a family member with a disability. FSI is unique in Canada and the only grassroots family to family organization that has a broad volunteer base.\nFSI SUPPORTS AND SERVICES ARE FREE TO ANY FAMILY \nThe Family Support Institute of BC (FSI) is embarking on a community engagement journey to gather stories on what has and has not been working in the current system for Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN). We want to hear from you on how CYSN services and supports in BC can be improved\, so that our children and youth can get the help they so critically deserve. We will be gathering your stories and experiences in person and online\, in a way that best works for you. \nWant us to visit your community? We need your voice!\nPlease take our Engagement Survey and let us know the best way(s) we can engage with you and your family. \nYou are invited to join FSI CONTINUING CONVERSATIONS\, a private Facebook Group intended to continue conversations of support or provide an alternative platform for support. \nAfter the session you are encouraged to share your feedback.
