DESCRIPTION:The University Health Network’s Pride in Patient Engagement in Research (PiPER) team is hosting the Second Annual PiPER Research Day! This year’s theme will explore the immense value that Neurodiversity and Inclusive Practices can bring to institutions and research. \n\nWednesday\, October 9\n9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET\nHybrid (The Guild Inn Estate\, Scarborough\, ON & Online)\n\nThis event is a chance for researchers\, PLEX (Person(s) with Lived Experience)\, students\, and others to gather in person\, build relationships\, share success stories and exchange the latest information while promoting and strengthening the current practices of patient engagement in research. For more information and to register\, visit the PiPER Research Day website. \nRegistration Information\nNOTE: Registrations are non-refundable. In-person attendees can switch to virtual attendance for free. \nIn-person Attendance – $150/person (+fees and HST)\nIn-person registration includes:\n\nNetworking Breakfast (includes continental breakfast – baked goods\, yogurt\, juice\, coffee\, and tea)\nConference Materials\nMorning & Afternoon Coffee Breaks\nLunch\n\nAfter registering for In-Person attendance\, you will receive two emails. One will contain your Registration Receipt and another (Thank You for Registering) will have your ticket as well as a link to “Open Event App” where you can access the Virtual Portal. Gagnon (she/her/hers) (PhD\, Political Science\, University of Minnesota\, BA\, University of British Columbia) is a Lecturer in the School of Journalism\, Writing\, and Media at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is the creator and chair of UBC’s Disability Affinity Group for disabled faculty and staff which works towards the goals of community care and Disability Justice. She is a recipient of the 2021 Killam Teaching Prize at UBC which recognizes excellence in teaching innovation. Dr. Gagnon identifies as a bisexual settler and disabled woman and strives to bring her whole self to her teaching and research.\n\nDescription of event:  Join Dr. Jennifer M.
